For executive assistants

Claude skills for executive assistants

Claude skills for executive assistants are saved instructions for the jobs you do every day for one executive: inbox triage, the daily brief, meeting prep and follow-ups. You write each one once, and Claude runs it the same way every time you ask.

Below are the four skills worth setting up first, a free inbox skill to copy, and where the AI Operator Kit fits.

Four skills for an executive assistant

  • Inbox triageSorts the last day of email into needs a decision, I can handle, FYI and ignore, and drafts the replies you can handle.
  • Daily briefOne page before your executive starts: today's meetings with a prep line each, the emails that need them and this week's deadlines.
  • Meeting prepA one-page brief for any meeting: who is attending, your last emails with them, open items and three questions to ask.
  • Follow-upsMeeting notes in, a follow-up email, a list of actions with owners and dates, and anything that belongs on the calendar out.

Each skill reads the same short files first: your executive's profile, their voice, their key people and the rules for what you can decide alone. That is what makes a draft sound like them.

A free inbox triage skill

Save this as a file called SKILL.md in a folder named inbox-triage, zip the folder, then upload it in Claude under Customize, then Skills. Anthropic requires code execution to be on for skills to run.

SKILL.md

--- name: inbox-triage description: Sort my executive's unread email and draft the replies I can send. Use when I ask for inbox triage or an inbox summary. --- Read the exec profile, voice and rules files first. 1. Take every unread email from the last 24 hours. 2. Sort each one into: Needs their decision, I can handle, FYI, Ignore. 3. For "Needs their decision": one line on what they must decide and by when. 4. For "I can handle": a reply draft in the voice file's tone. 5. Never send, delete, accept or decline anything. 6. If you are unsure who a sender is, put them under "Ask me" with the reason.

Claude Cowork for executive assistants

Cowork is the part of Claude that carries out a multi-step task instead of answering one message. It is on the paid plans. For an assistant, the useful part is scheduled tasks: Anthropic says they run in the cloud, so the daily brief can be ready at 6:30 with no computer on.

Cowork also asks for your explicit permission before it permanently deletes any file. Keep the rule from the skill above anyway: Claude drafts, you send. The full setup, with a prompt for each job, is in Claude for executive assistants. If you support several clients, see Claude Code for virtual assistants.

Where the AI Operator Kit fits

The kit is built for a small business owner, and the parts an assistant uses every day carry straight over: the Daily Operator Plan, the one-page brief before a call, and 107 prompts sorted by job. It also has 18 agents in all and a 32-lesson course.

It costs $27, one payment, and runs in the Claude or ChatGPT app on your phone, or in Claude Code on a computer. Every fact is on the AI Operator Kit page.
