All right what's going on everybody Josh pocock here founder and CEO of executive stride in today's video we are going to be looking at a screen recording tool called berrycast let's get right into it [Music] all right so here is Barry cast if you're not familiar with berry Cass it is something like an alternative to loom or vidyard or obviously a few other screen recording tools but these are some of the big ones and we'll compare quickly some of their pricing

In just a second to kind of see what berry cast um you know how it compares to them right and pricing and then also in their you know features and capabilities of being able to screen record so here is the berrycast website so easily record and send video messages right so you can see here you can draw you know annotations on the screen you can do a few cool things in Berry cast that you can't do in other tools you can

See here a lot of customer reviews 4.8 4.5 out of five star reviews so a lot of good positive reviews on the tool um you know different types of you know benefits that it can help you with save time work efficiently improve remote work it's good for teachers medical professionals students personal business etc etc um and then here are some things that you can actually do so screen annotations easy editing camera recording screen record Outlook integration Chrome extension custom branding which

Is really cool password protection embed your video instant share Outlook integration video messages timed comments notifications download your videos uploads analytics insights clip trimming team Integrations and much more right so here's kind of what the interface looks like and uh yeah so let's kind of dive into you know really just the pricing and then we'll get into the back end I don't want to make this video too long for you guys so the reason I'm actually making this video right now

Specifically on Berry Cass and I'll actually come to the pricing for it in just a second but let's take a look at Loom you can see here Loom has a starter plan that's free here's what you get you know it's very limited business plan is eight dollars U.S per month and this is an annual uh if it's annually I don't know exactly what the monthly is but I know it's higher than eight bucks USD per month right um if you're just

Paying on a month-to-month basis and then you get unlimited creators unlimited videos unlimited recording length up to 50 Creator lights custom branding and on all this stuff right here and that's pretty much it I mean there is an Enterprise plan but you'd have to contact them so that is Loom vidyard is also a lot more even expensive than Loom so there is a free plan that's limited and then the Pro Plan is 9 19 U.S per month if you're doing the

Annual version so that would be 228 dollars or if you're doing monthly it's going to be 29 per month so pretty expensive compared to even Loom which is still you know it's not super expensive but if you have a lot of users on your team right and you get unlimited videos video insights call to action and then business right is a hundred and forty five dollars per person per month on the annual billing so that starts at 5500 so that's obviously

Very expensive so those are those two tools obviously they each have their own features and capabilities right but Barry cast is something that in my opinion you literally can't go wrong with just because of the price alone in my opinion that's why you know I have other screen recording tools I have Loom I have Vineyard I also have uh the one uh Komodo decks you know I just did a video on that yesterday so if you want to check that one

Out as well I'd highly suggest that that's a great tool as well um but berrycast right now as you know you know I'll probably be having more videos like this because there's a lot of Black Friday deals going on now so you can actually secure the lifetime deal of berry cast on the starter package for like literally I checked on this I sort of like I swear I checked uh this website a few days ago before the the sale because I

Was thinking I was looking at Berry cast and it was they did have a sale like they did have a sale I think it was about 75 or 80 bucks or something but it's usually 99 bucks so I was almost going to buy it for like 80 bucks and then I was like nah I already have all these tools like stream reporting tools but then you know I noticed uh recently you know the last couple like couple days they actually have

The Black Friday 75 percent off um so and then with uh if you're using like 20 off or whatever like basically it's it's 19 Canadian one-time payment so that's not even us that's Canadian so very very cheap very very affordable um I think that's about let me just double check here uh 19 that's 14 bucks U.S basically uh just under 15. so yeah 14 U.S and you can get Berry cast Lifetime right so um and obviously it's only for I believe

Just one user so there are some limitations compared to like their Pro Plan or their Pro bundle but those plans you're going to be paying five bucks per month um annually or 12 bucks per month and that's for five users so there is a you know no it's kind of funny I'll show you in a second but here on their pricing it says custom branding and domain is is only available on Pro but I don't know if it's you know maybe

Because of the Black Friday sale or whatever but but I yeah I mean maybe there's more custom branding you get with here I don't know but you do get custom like some custom branding and domain with this plan at least I did so I'll show you that in a second so I was kind of surprised and excited about that but yeah I'm not going to spend too much time you know going over the pricing um I'll kind of just dive into

The tool it's fairly simple to use there's not too too much to go over but I'll show you what it is just so you know what you're actually getting you may be like well it's not 15 bucks or 14 bucks like is it is there quality to it yeah well I mean it normally is 99 bucks uh it's like it literally as I literally checked so um but it is it is pretty pretty good to be honest and it does have

Some stuff in it that other tools like Loom or vidyard don't even have right so here is the dashboard we have the my library and then we have all videos my recordings and then shared with me and you can also create folders up here so I could create one smma create new folder um you know marketing just has some examples here boom there we go and obviously I could add recordings in there by going up here and then move and then

Move it to the selected folder here's just literally a sample recording I was testing out but you can see here I could easily click here copy the link to share it I could Click Share so I could share with the change the video title name whatever send it to someone you know change the message here's the link so you'll see here it is a custom domain and I'll show get to that in a second and you can also embed it which

Is really cool you can password protect it so you know if it's a specific thing that you knows uh you know more private you don't want just anyone to get the link and be able to see then you can do that and and yeah so that's kind of all of that stuff you'll see here notifications this will show you like if someone's viewing it or different notifications about you know your videos so if someone views your video you're going to get

A notification now you can change these notifications so I'll show you that so if you go to settings notifications you can change it so you get comment notifications when there's comments on videos views on videos videos requested and you can change these for in-app as well as email so depending on what you want you can toggle on and off and then conversation settings so the following settings are applied as your default to all new conversations allow comments allow viewers to download

And then show analytics to viewers so you can toggle these on and off um and then any ex experimental features will show there you can change your email change your name change your photo change your password it's pretty basic stuff there um okay so here is the custom branding section so let me just check here so Team Management since I'm just on a lifetime video you have to upgrade your plant to Pro to add team members to Berry cast so if

You just need something specifically for you this could be really great with the lifetime deal now also too you know you don't just have to get the lifetime deal I didn't even I was kind of looking at that specifically but all the other plans um like oops very all the other plans are also on sale too oh sorry um here let me just incognito Bryce so you can see here twenty percent discount so um all these I believe are on sale

As well so huh it's kind of looking different but yeah so you can get the monthly plan if you want if you want your team members uh like to use it but if it's if you just need um you know your own personal use then this is a great tool just to secure the lifetime deal for 15 bucks when there's the sale right now so um that's what I did like I have other tools where I'm probably gonna use more of

My team but I just got it just because it's I knew it was a good tool like I'll show you like the recording and some of the features in a second but I knew it was a good tool and uh you know I thought hey it's only 15 bucks or 20 bucks whatever Canadian I that's it's kind of a no-brainer so here's something is really cool I don't know um you know I know it's set on the page that Pro plans

Get custom branding and all this but you know I'm I got it so here's what that looks like you can just go here to custom branding you can upload your logo upload your icon um then change the colors your primary secondary Mouse pointer all that good stuff and then you can add your custom domain you can click instructions and it will show you right here how to do it it's very very simple and and then you can just disable barrycast branding

So you can completely Rebrand this so then one for example if I go back to this video that I tested then I copy link I paste on the link here oh you can't see at the top in my URL but it's vid dot exactly as you know it's a custom URL you can see here the logo here the title you can see the views um and yeah you can see like the colors and everything like I could uh Tom nice I

Could you know you see the colors right here the gold I could post this as a comment and then there you have it right so that's really cool and of course if I go back to my berry cast dashboard I actually just got an email notifying me but I also got the in-app notification so I would maybe toggle some of them off if you don't want to get completely bothered by so many people viewing your video if you know those are

The type of videos you're making but I'll leave it on for now um and then lastly I'm just going to show you how to create a video and what that looks like so if I go up here to new video first of all and I click these three icons I can see here I could upload a video which is cool I can download the desktop app so there is a desktop app um I'll show you what that looks like it's like

Literally just a web app on desktop basically and there's also a Chrome extension so you're going to want to download uh those two things um that's going to make your uh make your stuff a lot easier now you can't see right now on my screen but there is since I have the desktop you can kind of see now right see where my mouse is over here with the desktop app there's there's going to be this oh I guess you can see

It here so this thing right here I'm pulling it away but it's a it's because uh my screen right now isn't recording to everything to the left but there's this right here when you download the desktop app this will kind of be on your on the left side of your screen I wonder if I can move it I just moved it down I wonder if I can move it to the right side if I wanted to let me try oh you

Can do that so that's pretty cool it's a very functional in that way so yeah and it's going to show up on the like whatever side you have it you can even have it on the bottom so I just found that out and it's going to show up as this you see this kind of green color there's going to be like a green line so when you hover over the green line it's going to pull this out as like a sidebar

So it'll be like it will kind of look like this except it will be green and then when you hover over it's going to pull out like this so you it makes it easy for easy recording um on the fly so that's what the desktop app kind of does and you can easily just click on the uh my videos or record or settings or exit so and then it will either pull up the desktop app or the uh so here I

Just clicked on settings it pulled up the desktop app or if you're you know that yeah that's pretty much it so that's so you could easily just go over there and click on record video and use that or you could use the Chrome extension so if I click on the Chrome extension it looks like this it's going to pull up this and I can see here this is gonna be like my like camera my thing so I can either I can

Flip the camera I can change the shape to like a square or Circle and I can toggle the size I can make it bigger bigger or smaller right so you have a few options there or I could just close it and if I don't want the screen but you could also just do camera only so this would only show your camera kind of like a face video and this is Camera Plus screen right so and then if you don't want the

Camera of course like I showed you you just close it out um what's this Okay so let me go back to here okay request a video click to copy link so you could request a video um which I believe that would be more like if you were doing some sort of Team stuff I don't know the full extent of that but uh yeah it's pretty simple compared to you know it's like the same way you would use Loom or anything like

That you can select your camera here you can select your microphone here and then I'll simply put all you would do once you're ready um I just adjust this I'm not even going to be using it but I would just click record and then you can see your screens here I'm going to select one of my screens it's going to give us a countdown and you know you can also click here to hide this little thing if you'd like but now

We're recording you can see here on the right you can either click cancel recording retry recording pause recording stop recording and you can also drag this this little circle you can actually drag it as well so in my review of Komodo decks the other day you actually can't drag like your your screen anywhere even though it's still a really good tool but this is one thing Berry Cass can do um and then also to um what was I gonna say um

Yeah so we can see here so it's still recording um I can drag it around whatever say if I want to pause recording or stop recording let's see I've stopped all right uh Barry cast wants to no it's fine um and then I can add some certain things so I can edit this right here boom click edit and I can like you know um like split at now here click split then I could like uh maybe delete can I like delete

This or resize or trim your video by dragging the handles and the Okay so uh this the split is how I could reorder it like if I wanted I think so wait I go here split oh I don't think I can reorder but uh yeah you can drag it like this oh split because then I could drag this one like this Okay so let me just save changes or you could revert back to original layer confirm that's editing I can move

It to a folder I can go to settings settings and uh I can allow comments allow viewers to download allow viewer analytics I can add password protected over there or reset to defaults I can add a CTA button so the button label um oh no here's so teaser optional uh Define button details book a car google.com also you can add multiple I guess so I could remove that and click save oh I mean https okay I wonder if you can if

The color changes I'm assuming the color changes um and then thumbnail you can change the thumbnail I'm not gonna do that and uh you can delete and think that's majority but let me just copy this link paste and and you know you can also click here yes um oh here's book a call once again you know you can also click I guess that comes up at the end I'm curious if you can like change it around or whatever I don't want
