4,377 wordsAll right so in this video we're going to be going over the empathy map action plan now if you're not familiar with what empathy maps are we're going to go over them how to use them and Dive Right In so let's get to [Music] it all right so a bird's eye view of what we're going to be covering we'll go over what empathy Maps look like what you need we'll go over the specific steps we'll consider the following questions and show
You what questions are within empathy Maps I'll give you some examples so different examples such as career coaching empathy map health and wellness coaching spiritual coaching mindset coaching this doesn't just apply to coaches obviously it's any industry any business whether you're service based business B2B marketing agency whatever the case is and then chat GPT AI empathy map generation prompt and resources for learning more so let's get into what do empathy Maps look like so an empathy map is a tool that
Lets you understand your customer base like a customer Avatar an empathy map enables you to visualize your customers needs wants and deepest secret desires because it requires you to plant yourself in your ideal customer shoes it'll help you realize what your customers actually want not what you think they want now you know you may have already done a lot of you know different customer avatars or different Niche selection worksheets whether it's within our program or different trainings but it's super important
And the reason I give you different um strategies for determining your Niche understanding your market doing research is because one different strategies work better for different people different you know Industries different businesses different offers as well as no matter what it's not going to hurt you know you can like to this day I'll still be doing different empathy Maps different customer avatars and really getting a deep understanding of our Niche whether it's the same offer or if we're doing a different
Offer in a different industry whatever the case is it's crucial to consistently do these so don't think you're above it now empathy maps are often divided into six sections all right some people do them a bit differently but this is the pretty much the standard with ideal customer as the centerpiece so yes you can make it into a nice diagram here and make it look really nice and pretty um but it really consists of think and feel hears says and does
Sees and pains and gains all right so you can see here your customer Avatar your user whatever the case is will be right here and then you have all the stuff around it now what you need so empathy maps are a powerful tool for gaining deep user centered insights to help refine Define and validate your business Niche they allow you to step into your customer shoes and see the world from their perspective helping to identify their needs pain points and motivations
Here's a stepbystep guide or sop on how to use empathy maps for your Niche right and I'm even going to give you even more specific and just a second but this is kind of the standard route right so step one identify your customer segment before you can map out your customer's experience you need to know who your customer is use data from market research and customer feedback to identify a specific segment of your audience to focus on be as specific as
Possible all right step two set up the empathy map and empathy map is divided into uh empathy map is divided into four quadrants with the customer at the center and then it centered around says thinks does and feels and then of course pains and gains but for example the first four says so captures the customers uh what the customer says out loud in interviews or comments thinks so reveals what their customer is thinking throughout the experience or what they believe does
Focuses on the actions the customer takes feels seeks to understand the customer's emotional state we're going to dive into this even more very soon and even more in depth but uh this is a basic overview and you can draw your uh map on a whiteboard or use a digital tool like Myro which offers a pre-made empathy map template here so you can use Myro or Lucid charts or something like this you don't even need to use that you could either just
Put it in a document or use your business foundations workbook I'm going to show you about more about that later but um step three gather and analyze customer data so to fill out your empathy map you'll need to G gather data about your customers you can get this data from customer interviews service social media listening customer reviews and other methods of market research you're looking for verbatim quotes observed behaviors and factual insights not assumptions all right and then step four fill
In the empathy map and I go over in different videos showing you how to get more of these things um and the more you have of this the more infield you know experience that you have talking to people and seeing this and doing your research the more accurate your empathy map is going to be of course right so step four fill in your empathy map So based on your research try to understand and fill in each section of the empathy map
Invite team members or stakeholders for diverse perspectives so invite your team key members on your team Etc if needed and then remember the aim is to capture a holistic view of the customer's experience thoughts feelings and actions and then step five identify patterns and insights so look for patterns that emerge from the map these might be contradictions between what user says what a user says and do pain points unmet needs or key moments of delight these insights will help you identify
Opportunities for your business to better serve your customers and validate your Niche so these you may be be able to solve key problems that your prospects didn't even really know to articulate that they had all right they you may just see these patterns and based on your research you're able to formulate these um High offices and thesises and then you know validate them um when you take go to the market right so step six apply insights to your business so use
The insights from your empathy map to refine your Niche product or service or offer or program whatever the case is and this could mean addressing unmet needs improving the user experience or better aligning your product with customer expectations step seven validate so use these insights to make make predictions about user Behavior then you can create a minimal viable offer a MVP or mvo minimal viable uh offer I don't know if I said that at the start minimal viable product or minimal
Viable offer whatever you want to call it or minimal viable course MVC um or conduct user testing to validate these predictions this will help ensure your business is on the right track and step eight of course iterate so empathy mapping just like anything in business is an iterative process as you learn more about your customers revisit and update your empathy map this will help your business stay aligned with your customers needs as they evolve and create a customer Avatar and empathy
Map whenever you take an on a new client even if they're in the same Niche chances are their Niche within that Niche will be very different all right so here's kind of a diagram showing you what that could look like so Niche Niche within a niche customer Avatar empathy map all right hope that makes sense so your customer Avatar and so you could have multiple empathy Maps you know um theoretically it really depends on your offer Niche your business how you're
You know what type of clients you're getting but you have a niche say if I'm working with coaches marketing agencies uh for example just those two I have coaches here I have another niche of marketing agencies and then there's different types of coaches there's business coaches there's life coaches there's um you know Fitness coaches whatever the case is and then there's even niches within those niches you know there's very successful ones there's people just starting out so you could get really
Nitty-gritty with this but uh this is just a highle overview all right guys so if you want access to this empathy map document where you can literally copy and paste everything into your um into chat GPT and get the outputs you can get the exact prompt as well and everything else you can get this for free at Stride community .c just join our free Facebook group and uh you can get access to this complete document inside of there so go to
Stri community.com to get access to our free Facebook group our free Discord Channel and then also too guys if you want help implementing this into your business as well as generating a bunch of leads and everything like that go to um executive strive.com slapp right here here and you can simply book a call on our calendar there's some testimonials here as well as everything you would want to know about how we can get you from where you're currently at to making
More money booking more calls all right so I'll see you on the other side talk soon and then consider the following questions so ask your team the following questions and let them think before they start adding answers to the board or yourself and a more approach structured a more structured approach means you're you'll all have time to really think about your customers emotional needs rather than just fire off ideas n willy-nilly all right so here we have think and feel sees
Here says and does pains and gains so I'll go over some of these so think and feel what keeps your target awake at night in indigestion boiling up in their esophagus eyes open staring at the ceiling what are they angry about who are they angry at what are their beliefs and dreams what makes them sad and scared is there a built-in bias to the way they make their decisions examples Engineers are exceptionally analytical C's what sites around um surround their the
Target's home so what do they see at work who do they see the most was it friends or family was it work you know colleagues uh what trends do they see in their life or in their work home and social life What will the Target think when they see your product service or advertisement and then here so uh who does your Target customer hear from most often what media are they influenced by what would their boss friends family say if they
Knew the target used your product or service um or advertisement and then says and does what are your targets top three FR daily frustrations how do they handle them how does your target behave in different environments I.E in public in private with friends families and co-workers how do they speak to others do they open up more to friends or family do they have their own language what would the target say and do while using your product or service would this change
If other people knew the target uh used your product or service and then pains so what is your target most afraid of what daily stresses do they encounter What stopped them from dealing with the problems before why have other products or Services failed the target before um and then gains what do they secretly ardently desire the most what does the Target need to reach their goals and then who does the Target measure success right so you can include a few different
Other questions as well if you can think of some good ones but there is a lot of good stuff there and then here's some empathy map examples so we have first example career coaching all right and these are you know just some examples right so think and feel what are they thought uh what are the key thoughts and emotions of a client in this category they might feel stuck in their current job or confused about the career path of fall or
Probably thinking about how to gain your satisfaction and financial stability see what are the key influences that they the client sees so they are offer uh they see others in fulfilling jobs and careers job posting requiring skills they don't have career advice on social media and other articles online here what do they hear from their surroundings they might hear friends uh talking about their career progress colleagues complaining about work or family members pressing them to find a better job says and
Do or say and do how does the client behave in public they might apply for numerous jobs talk negatively about their current job or Express uncertainty about their career path pains what challenges and obstacles does the client face they're struggling with job dissatisfaction the pressure of finding a new job a lack of uh of clear career path or feeling under underqualified for roles they're interested in and then gains what does the client hope to gain they want career fulfillment a clear
Path a job that aligns with their skills and interest and financial stability now I'm going to go through these other examples all right if you don't need to hear these examples which I do cons I do recommend that you listen to them um but I'm going to go over the chat GPT AI map generation prompt after these so make sure to stay throughout this whole uh video right here but if you really are eager you can you know Skip through to

Lifestyle choices here they might hear friends and family discussing their fitness routines doctors advising them to make uh make lifestyle changes or Co co-workers discussing diet Trends say and do they may be attempting various diets or workout routines complaining about their health or expressing a desire to live a healthier life lifestyle pains they might be struggling with weight loss stress management maintaining a healthy diet or finding the motivation to exercise regularly and gains they want to improve their physical health learn
More about uh learn how to maintain a balanced diet manage stress effectively uh build a consistent workout routine and feel confident in their body and then example three spiritual coaching so think and feel client may be feeling a sense of disconnection from their own spiritual nature they might be thinking about wanting to find a deeper sense of purpose or understand their place in the universe um see so they see people around them who see seem to have a strong spiritual practice
And appe more appear more peaceful uh they may also see spiritual content online or in books and want to understand more here they might hear friends uh discussing spiritual practices or philosophies perhaps hear criticism of their current beliefs or lack of therefore lack thereof and then say and do so they may Express curiosity about spirituality try out different spiritual practices or rituals or voice the satisfaction with their current spiritual State pain so struggles may include feeling of disconnection confusion about where
To start with their spiritual practices lack of understanding of different spiritual philosophies or crisis of faith and then gains they want to feel more connected to something larger than themselves find their peace have a clear understanding of their personal beliefs and develop a spiritual practice that resonates with them and then mindset coaching so think and feel uh clients might feel be feeling stuck in a negative thought pattern or feel like their mindset is holding them back they may think they're capable
Of more but they don't know how to change their thought patterns see they see others who are more confident successful or happy and attribute that to a better mindset they see mindset tips and tricks on social media but struggle to implement them here they hear people around them discussing personal growth and mindset they might hear Praises for positive thinking or criticism of their negative outlook and then say and do they often express frustration with their current situation may read books or
Attend seminars about mindset and might vocalize self-deprecating thoughts pains challenges include feeling stuck in negative thinking difficulty uh in implementing mindset strategies low self confidence and frustration at lack of uh frustration at lack of progress and then gains they hope to develop a more positive outlook increase their confidence break free from limiting beliefs and leverage their mindset to achieve their goals all right and here is the chat GPT AI empathy map prompt generation so provided information target audience so you put
