FIX: Missing Converger Module in Make.com Automation❗🔨 Opposite Of A Router (Full Tutorial) 🤖

Have you been having trouble with your make.com router scenario when it actually goes through the first branch and you can't get that data to the second Branch or when it goes to the second Branch you can't get that data to the third fourth whatever the case may be you don't have any converger module well I'm going to show you a fix the converger method concept fix within make.com if you don't even know what that means don't worry I'm going to explain

It let's dive right into it [Music] okay so first off if you don't even know what I'm talking about here regarding make.com and the router and the converser don't worry I'm going to explain it so it makes sense because if I was watching this not too long ago I wouldn't even know what this whole what the issue is right so basically what the issue is is let's say I'm running this uh scenario right here all right it's a web hook then

It's getting a record and then based on that record ID that it pulls it's going to check a few different scen uh situations through the router all right I haven't fully finished building out this scenario this is just showing two branches on the router but that's enough um to actually demonstrate how to actually do this um this scenario is actually going to have a bunch a few more uh branches but basically let's say Okay so the first branch is saying is

The example right here is this example uh this this field right here does not exist that's the filter so if that field does not exist then it's basically going to do a chat GPT or chat GPT completion right here all right and then let's say if I wanted to um actually no so that's that's what it's going to do let's say I wanted to so I let's say depending on each um Branch right here I'm doing a chat GPT completion right

So yeah and then what I want to do after that is I want to have them all instead of having to put like an update record right here like I would have to go air table update record and I would have to have an air table separate module for every single Branch after the chat GPT to basically update you know update based on this result to the air table as well as this one as well as this one because look I

Can't drag this over here as well as make.com does not have something that's basically opposite of a router if you don't know what a router is it basically goes through to like I'll show you uh explain the flow this is what it looks like boom boom see how it goes here and then the other one goes like this right so it's going to go through all the different branches of the router I could add another chat GPT right here and just

Go Auto align and it would go through all three right so that's how the router works but there's nothing like encoding there's uh you would have like a converger or something there is no native converger within make.com so I'm going to show you quickly and I'll link this in the comments down below this is on make.com uh documentation talking about convergers so they basically say this alternative this article describes an alternative and work around to the converger module often requested by

Our customers CU funny it's often requested I just don't know why they don't do it why don't you just make the converter module but anyways for the time being this is the workaround and please note that there is no converter module available within make at the moment is just a concept that provides a counterpart to the router module allowing you to reduce duplication of modules in uh different routes right so also why is this useful well one uh you typically will

Well you're going to be able to use less scenarios because you're going to be able to store the variables and actually like reference them back in in different branches cuz right now I can't pull any of the information from anything within this Branch over to the second branch and like they're all separate variables right um so like if I go for example just to show you um air t let's just say update a record so I will only be able to

Get so you'll see in just a second let's go here okay cool okay so I will only be able to see data from the git record error table as well as the web hook right I cannot see any data from any of this chat GPT second Branch or first Branch right so how do we fix this well there's really two ways and I'm going to show you the easiest way um you'll see the first well one of the ways that they

Document here is using a data store module right so if you want to do it that way you can go ahead and read that in the description I'm going to show you how to do it the better way um in my opinion it's just because one it's a little bit more time consuming to create a data store and every single time you're doing this if you want to do a converter create a store plus you're limited with all this like how

Much data uh store you can use so if you're using it all the time you may have to go upgrade your plan or whatnot so we're going to do it the better way um and it looks something like this so first off we're going to unlink this this let's say I get these two chat GPT completions I'm just going to make this flow really simple just to show you and right now so when I update a record like I showed you

Before four I only have the get record ID and the web hook I'm going to make it so I get both of these or at least one for this video so what I'm going to do is I'm going to go here actually I'm going to go here down to tools and I am going to set multiple variables right here now you can do it two ways you could do set variable which is simple it just sets one variable or set multiple

Variables even if you just think you're doing just one variable I would suggest to do set multiple variables just because you never know could end up being more right so it's good to have that option all you're simply going to do is you're going to put the variable name here so for this one I want to set the variable for the result uh right here from the chat GPT so this will be example result okay and I'm going to click okay

And I'm going to do the same thing here so I'm going to set multiple variables I'm going to add the variable here and this is going to be the result right here and I'm going to just call this hook type result okay so I simply just set two variables now if I needed to access this variable in this Branch I would do the same thing what I'm about to show you in this branch and I'm going to show you right now

So actually let me just go here and let me go here and I'm going to get multiple variables going to put that here and here Auto align all right now I'm literally going to get these variables so I'm going to grab the variable name example result I'm going to paste that here so that's one variable and then I'm going to get this hook type result I'm going to add this item here this our second variable right so now we got those

Two variables and now when I go back to update record we have the record ID here for type I can do hook type right here from our git variables and what was the other one example so example we'll go here example result I'm going to click okay all right so this is very simple like I said um okay so reference update record is not accessible reference update um see oh I think it's be okay because of this hook let's go make

Sure everything's okay be get record there we go okay there we go so save okay now I'm going to test it for you guys just so you can see here okay so I'm going to trigger this scenario so let me go run it real quick and this is empty and then okay give me one second so I am basically going over here I'm going to click analyze and this is going to trigger it and this one right here didn't have an

Example so it's going to go oh can not initialize scenario because of the reason scenario validated problems found valid reference filter example empty example variable 9 sample let me just double check where oh it's right here okay so let me change this example there we go now it should be good when you're doing all these changes sometimes you will um yeah you're going to mess up the variables and you're just going to have to fix them if uh if you break

Some of the modules so there we go now we have this set the variable here now we're getting our hook right set the variable there boom boom boom so let's see what these two variables are so okay so I found out what the issue was I was wondering what the issue was okay so I put the variable right here instead of the name so we're just going to switch this around okay now let me save this I'm just going to run

It one more time and now that I actually already have the example for that one it should skip this uh one right here it Should Skip that branch okay so analyze boom boom boom skipped the first branch of course cuz the filter now we're getting the hook type set the variable and boom now you can see it just actually updated it as controversial here so everything worked all right so you can use this this is essentially like I said this is
