Scarlett Johansson OpenAI Deep Fakes & Elon Musk Drops OpenAI Lawsuit & Responds To WWDC Apple AI 🤖

A lot's been going on in the AI space within the last week let alone the last month we have Elon Musk making lawsuits then dropping lawsuits we have open AI partnering with apple apple having some big announcements at their WWDC event a lot of stuff as well as Scarlett Johansson saying that open AI used her voice without her consent and now she's actually getting involved potentially into um a little discussion here we're going to cover so that let's Dive Right [Music]

In All right so I'm going to catch you up with some of the news if you haven't already heard some of this well first off is Elon Musk drops the lawsuit that we heard about a few months ago um after open AI published his email so I would this actually isn't 100% accurate it wasn't directly after he they publish his emails cuz they published his emails right away he actually dropped it the day before um they were actually supposed to take

It to court so um I actually talked about this in one of my other videos and went through it in depth another cool new update if you haven't seen this already um is Luma Labs AI dream machine okay so I actually did a full video on this in depth and went through um some of it and I will probably do some actual um trying like using this Tool uh in future videos but the whole situation is when when they launched there

Was a very very high um you know amount of usage on their website so everything was very slow but this is essentially what we have as like a SORA or a um there's a Chinese company that has a video generation tool similar but you have to have a Chinese number so this is like the First Market ready video generation tool that just a public can use and they have a pretty great free plan too so um I covered that in the

Last video they have a really cool free p and as you can see it's a really high quality video um I would definitely recommend checking that out but they actually dropped um you know this is fairly new and it kind of took the AI Space by storm also too with the whole um apple and their WDC or WWDC event um you know announced ing Apple intelligence and their partnership with open AI as well as potentially other AI companies in the future

Their stock soared um you know people I guess are betting big on this company and you know at the end of the day they I guess the Apple intelligence is their own AI um they are partnered with these other companies and I guess leveraging their AI cuz I mean Apple intelligence definitely Pro is not on the level of something like chat gvt or anything like that and if you didn't hear Elon Musk also made a statement saying basically that anyone uh

You know if Apple does integrate open AI at the OS level that he won't let anybody in his company use uh an Apple phone they'll have to leave them at the door or any visitors will have to leave their Apple phone at the uh at the entrance and uh so he took a very big stance obviously like you know he's already made it very public that he is not a fan of openingi you know going after the lawsuit going after Sam

Alman going after Greg Brookman and basically saying they went from open AI to closed AI him being an early um you know stage investor one of the biggest investors and saying that you know he had a huge impact into getting them to where they are now which is definitely true 100% um let me know what your thoughts are about that whole situation in the comments down below regarding Elon and then um also too you know there's been a lot of kind

Of controversy surrounding open AI not just Elon um you know not just you know samman's firing but also too I mean that it all kind of adds in together you know people making kind of get forming this idea like hey is Open ai's Leadership fit to actually be this company that's supposed to get us towards AGI um you know they're are they like elon's point is you know are they the company that you know you know for example if it's on

The iPhone and they're getting all this data on the phone this is very very valuable data there's a reason why they can just give um the tool for free or let you use it for free because the money the the actual value that they're getting is in the data that you know of the users it would accumulate so much data from people using the iPhone because that is their dist distribution mechanism like everyone and their grandmother has an iPhone so um

With that being said you know recent you know recently we saw what you know Sam mman being fired and that whole debacle that whole drama scene um it made people question opening eyes leadership and now we're seeing that a new board came in and I and samman's back on the board um and you know we just basically saw how you know this whole situation the setup with open AI how they're supposed to be a nonprofit and like you know um having

A board that can make decisions and it's up to the board and we saw this whole new thing happened where basically Microsoft came in and was about to basically like acquire every single um employee or engineer or whatever at the company and basically give them the same position and it was like forcing the board to actually resign and then get Sam Alman back in now people are like kind of questioning well now we're you know we're seeing Ilia s resign and

We're seeing still more things for example this if you didn't see the Scarlet Johansson thing some people were like like you know she some people on one side were like she has no right like it doesn't sound like her voice but some people were like yeah it does sound like her voice whatever you may say um basically Scarlett Johansson and and Sam Alman asked her to use her voice basically for the new GPT 40 voice um as she was the one

That played the AI voice in that AI movie and yeah the sky movie I believe and and actually look opening over for use for Sky it was it yeah so Sky okay so Scarlet so sky was the name now basically they ended up um you know they actually ended up with the whole controversy like removing sky as the uh as the voice but this is the voice that they used in a lot of their gp4 demos during their announcement day and

Essentially we have an update basically that Scarlet Johansson May testify before Congress about out open AI debacle so actor Scarlett Johansson's old tussle with open AI voice over used for Skies gp40 chatbot may get airtime in Congress after a house subcommittee uh invited her to testify about it and a letter sent Monday rep Nancy blah blah asked Scarlett Johansson to speak at a hearing about deep fake technology held by the comerse oversight or house oversights committee out on cyber security information

Tech and and government Innovation on July 9th so just under a month from now he recently expressed concerns via social media about the resemblance between your voice and Sky's chatbot recently released as part of opening eyes 4 O's update Macy wrote yeah anyways so as you can see they're inviting her there um you know as we're progressing with the AI videos AI voice 11 Labs Luma dream machine obviously real starting to get a little bit more blurry in terms of what

What is real and what isn't real so one you know that that in general is just progressing and it's even going to get more and more um you know hard to tell the difference to the point eventually where we probably won't even be able to tell the difference um for example like you could have a government official say that they are going to be bombing another country right someone could generate that with AI and maybe the other country you know at

That that's like a very big security risk right like obviously there's certain ways to test and this and that but these are good these deep fakes and AI Tech is getting more and more advanced and who knows right like it could put someone in a very dangerous situation that's obviously like a life or death type situation where it could affect many many people but it could also just be um spreading fake news you know uh the the um you know we

Have the whole uh debate and the president election coming up and it could be really about anything spreading fake news about war or this or that right there's so many possibilities I mean also too just for like example like fraud impersonating people like you could call somebody's relative and say hey I'm being held hostage send this money or or um hey like I forgot my credit card or any anything really right so there's a lot of good obviously that can come

With AI a lot of good and there's also a lot a lot of bad that it could be used for the stronger it gets the more uh you know who whoever just has it could potentially use it for bad purposes right so um yeah that's something that we're seeing on the rise I mean it's I I really don't know exactly how we're going to try to mitigate that I mean we say hey we're going to try to mitigate it but it's

Almost like it's going to be to the point where this stuff is just going to happen and uh certain things are going to happen and I guess hopefully will be able to figure something out work it around hopefully we'll have more powerful AI that can like uh reverse it I you know on the good side of things but it's it's really just uh it's really I mean I I'm not someone who has the answer to it maybe if you guys have

Some sort of idea or what's going to happen or I don't know let me know in the comments down below maybe we can start some discourse about that um but yeah um Elon Musk was basically saying about this whole Scarlet Johansson thing like hey if open AI is someone that can use Scarlett Johansson's Voice without her consent imagine what they're going to do with your data all right so that's obviously on the contingency that you actually believe that um open AI

Did do that so I don't really know I did cover that story a while ago um when that did happen and you know I don't I I mean you could say it sounded like a voice or maybe you couldn't whatever uh and and uh also too like the day after they announced it samman tweeted out her which is the movie Scarlet played in so people thought he was kind of like sneak dissing or like you know show throwing some shade there

After she didn't allow him to use the voice and I think he asked her like right before they launched so let's just say for example they are I mean at the end of the day these big tech companies like open AI basically like Microsoft they're basically they're they're in bed with Microsoft so so tight and um yeah we can't really trust any of these big company tech companies with our data if you know anything about privacy this is something that we

Know in terms of like Facebook meta um um and it's funny too because what was it uh yeah it's like apple I believe they had that huge like lawsuit or whatever going on with um you know meta and like saying oh meta taking your data d d d and obvious it's like yeah they're going to push the whole data privacy thing when it's not for them when it's on going against the other big tech company but when it's on to them

Obviously it's like and they're like going to make a lot of either money or make uh get a lot of more data themselves it's a little bit different right so I saw the folks on the Allin podcast um one of my favorite podcasts they were talking about that whole situation and anyways so let me know what you guys think about yeah open AI re really being the front runner in this and and their new partnership with uh um apple and this

Whole data situation can we trust them can we trust them based on what's go been going on with Sam m the leadership and you know these different things that we keep seeing come up in the news right and lastly um one more thing that I kind of wanted to touch on is uh LinkedIn aka the company that's very the biggest B to be uh social platform in the world um and they're also owned by Microsoft but anyways they are going to

Be using AI tools to find your next job so basically like an AI career coach and I think we're going to be more and more of this in Social platforms like we already see with Instagram and meta coming out with this and meta doing the open source thing and I think we're going to see more and more very um let's say like very Niche um definitely more integrated AI pretty much everywhere you go it's pretty like like we're seeing it in

Our phones now this is like the first stage get it into the phones get into pretty much every electronic device but um yeah in the social platform soft for comes first and um and uh yeah we're going to see very like pinpointed uh specific uh AI um of course um for in different you know that has domain expertise over stuff like for example this is LinkedIn career coach we're going to see maybe therapists we're going to see maybe like Tax Consultants

Different consultancies um to help you in whatever the case may be like any type of service you'll have there could be like an AI coach essentially you could program the coach they can help you AI support um you know on one hand like from coming from someone who runs a business and has employees and you know does day different day-to-day tasks and automates things and whatnot like I see the like I'm I'm every single day I'm basically like in the trenches

Building new AI whether there's AI agents or implementing this or this or that we placing different positions in our company and it's really cool to see and like yes there's a whole bunch of upside and this is really just the beginning like and this is like the stuff that's available to the public imagine the stuff that opening I have in their Labs um all these big tech companies have in their Labs but uh yeah this is really the start and uh

It's great in terms of you know improving productivity you know this and that but um yeah it's also kind of I I want I don't know it's also like you think okay well your every every position could be replaced even you as a a Founder could be replaced there there could be an a we're going to see like I think it was Sam Oman talking about the first you know when we going to see the first billion dooll company run by

One person um in a bunch of AI agents or whatnot and then we'll see an a billion dollar company run by just AI right you'll have fra uh SE a whole SE Suite of AI agents managing AI managers managing AI you know Representatives Etc and then what what happened to you know how business Works what happens to the economy how how does value um come you know is it how do we de uh determine what is valuable is is it going

To be is is the whole world going to shift to things that are more like um uh you know enjoyable in life and we're just going to like value that like maybe like things like music or things that like maybe I don't know it's hard to it's really hard to say this is obviously long-term things I'm just thinking of um but let me know what your guys's thoughts are if you have any ideas on that I'm just kind of uh letting
