Like no one person should be trusted here I don't have super voting shares um like I don't want them the board can fire me I think that's important I think the board over time needs to get like democratized to all of humanity there's many ways that could be implemented all right guys so it's been about 24 hours since Sam Olman has been fired from open Ai and Greg Brockman has quit at open AI there's been a lot of information coming out

A lot of different sources a lot of speculation let's keep you up to date with AI news let's get right into [Music] it all right so first off I'm going to touch on a topic I mentioned previously on one of my other videos if you haven't watched that check it out I go over brockman's tweets of him qu quitting and kind of what his and Sam's statements have been on the matter so far but with this um picture right here we're

Kind of going back a couple of weeks and this is just to me to go on the point where I said now that Sam and Brockman are out of open AI maybe they'll collab with Elon maybe they'll have some sort of Power Team right there um it still could happen but this is just maybe some insight into Elon and Sam's relationship here so we can see gpts can save a lot of effort uh be a chatbot that answers questions with cringey

Just like many other subjects it sensors that's why I could tell couldn't tell a joke if it's goddamn instruction manual if it had a goddamn instruction manual it's like a comedian with a stick so far up its ass it can taste the bark Rock roasting gbg4 so I guess he wrote that with GPT or with grock so um that may put some light on if they're going to collaborate or not I now I don't know if that was actually serious if

They were just kind of bannering sh shooting the or if there's actually Bad Blood of course uh Sam and Elon have a history kind of being at the start of open AI Elon was involved in that so um who knows knows but time will tell um so a few things we know this is just a few things I found on Twitter this is basic information that was on the open AI blog post the these are the board members right here we

Got Greg Brockman ilas Sam Alman Adam Tasha Helen so there's six members or there was six members so that means if you know basic math it takes four votes for a majority so that means everyone except Sam and Greg voted Sam out and that would mean Ilia who is I guess quote unquote Sam's friend you know they started this thing together or whatever you know one of the people he started with um I guess I mean I don't know did he

Backstab him I'll let you be the judge but there is different information kind of coming out to say you know maybe you do take IL side maybe he was maybe he has a point I don't know none of us fully know what the specific information that Sam was not aligned with the board was I mean I don't know um but I'm going to go over some of with you and uh you know the next few days of course I'm assuming a

Lot of information will keep coming out I'm going to keep you guys updated with this story and what's going to happen because this is really going to completely change the trajectory of yes obviously open Ai and Chad gbt but also just the AI industry in general right now right now we have so many competitors Google deep mind uh you know all these different competitors we have them building these AI tools and they're basically it's a race to AGI right so there's

Elon there's all the all sorts of companies so now Sam and Greg are these you know on the free market let's see who either Scoops them up are they going to create their own company um who knows right so Cara swisser she's a reporter and she was doing some reporting a lot yesterday the developer day and how the store was introduced was an inflection moment of Alman pushing too far too fast my bet he'll have a new company up by Monday

Um I mean that'd be quite interesting if that actually happened but I don't know about that but uh and we'll get into you know kind of what why what she means by this and there's other sources kind of saying something some stuff that align with this now more on open AI several sources told me Bard uh told me Bard told Alman 13 minutes in advance Greg Brockman 5 minutes in advance about the move Brockman is the chair of the board so

Not sure how that worked Microsoft was also told just before and employees not told in advance and then the clown car Emoji because yeah it's pretty crazy and yeah this was verified at least by Greg he this is exactly what he said in his tweet um that he found out like minutes before and then by the way I talked to Major SV figures who were close to open Ai and none had any idea this was coming this board is wacky all

Right now two days ago Sam ultman casually mentions that open AI recently made a huge breakthrough that pushes the frontier of Discovery forward the fourth such breakthrough in its 8 years history and um this was really crazy and I don't know was it a coincidence or not I'm going to play the video for you guys but like four times now in the history of open ey the the most recent time was just in the last couple of weeks I've gotten to

Be in the room um when we sort of like push the front the sort of the veil of ignorance back and the frontier of Discovery forward and getting to do that is like the professional honor all right and this is quotes from an interview with Ilia himself so you can call it this way suer said uh about the coupe allegation and I can understand why you would choose this word but I disagree this was the board doing its duty to the

Mission of the nonprofit which makes it make what what is to make sure that open AI builds AGI that benefits all of humanity AGI stands for artificial general intelligence a term that refers to a software that can reason the way humans do when suer was asked whether these uh back room removals are a good way to govern the most important company in the world he answered I mean fair I agree that is not an ideal element to it there's not an

Ideal element to it 100% so um yeah it's it's really crazy and if you know how open AI is structured it's basically like um you know I'm not giving you the exact breakdown here but it's it's a it's governed by a nonprofit but it's started out as a nonprofit then it became a for-profit so it can afford computing power because it's very expensive to grow to to actually build AGI and to advance these lar language models and get U you know

All more computes so so Ilia also tweeted out a few weeks ago actually a few months ago here on uh September 29th 2023 ego is the enemy of growth elon's like what about the super ego so that's one tweet there and I just asked yourself who could it be talking about this is a couple months ago so and then he also tweeted out if you value intelligence above all other human qualities you're going to have a bad time and the theory

Is kind of that Sam especially after Dev day right he had they had this Dev day and it just completely crushed it and Sam was super gung-ho on just scaling this thing getting you know investing and getting more Investments so they can really scale uh roll out new products and make more of a profit so they can scale even more and more really quickly and Ilia on the back end you know Sam's the CEO and you know whatnot um Ilia was

More conservative and more I guess worried about you know the level of autonomy that they've started to achieve and and whatnot um especi I mean it kind of coincides too with what Sam said about two weeks ago with that fourth breakthrough so I can only imagine what that breakthrough was and Ilia from what we're hearing kind of got a little taken back and Shook and Sam really wanted to push it through so uh Sam Alman this is another kind of theory
